GUIDE LINES FOR SENDING IN AN APPLICATION!
I. THIS IS A REMINDER: Being elected to a seat on the Yewish council will take a conciderable amount of time and effort to perform efficiently. If you can not make the sacrifice, then please feel free to help in any other way possible; contact your local High Council Representive or Yew City Councilmen/Councilwomen.
II. Must be a citizen of Yew. Please see Constitution Artical IV:
IV. Citizenships shall be granted by residency within Yew. IV1. Citizens shall not be citizens already of another town or city. IV2. Citizenship granted to all those born in Yew, and still within. IV3. Citizenship granted to all those currently living in the Yew Territory, not citizens of another town or city. IV4. Citizenship granted to all those wed to a citizen of Yew. IV5. Citizenship shall not bar those according to race, class, creed, sex, or title. IV6. Citzens who depart from the Yew Territory to another land shall still be granted citizenship for as long as their as their loyalty remains.
III. A person with a government seat, either in militia or another council, must resign their present seat if elected for a seat on the council.
IV. Must have no outstanding warrents for arrest.
V. YEW COUNCIL SEATS! All executive seats run for a five "Earth" month term, and have no limit to how many times one can run for office.
EXECUTIVE BRANCH!
Mayor: The mayor shall proside all official functions (events, town fairs, etc.) in Yew, and shall open and close them all. The mayor is also the head of the executive, and may direct other officers. In the case of insubordination, the mayor may request the council to impeach, but may not himself remove any officer. A mayor has the power to approve ordinances. An ordinance is one or more of the following: Manages resources, improves the quality of living to the people of Yew, and/or improves productivity of the people of Yew.
Secretary: The secretary shall edit a designated public source of information, and is in charge of official counts, tallies, and census. The secretary may appoint assistants.
LEGISLATIVE BRANCH! The legislative seat runs for a three "Earth" month term, and has no limit to how many times one can run for office.
Speaker of the Assembly: The speaker of the Assembly hears over the meetings of the Assembly, (Meetings which are held by the citizenry are Assembly meetings. Council meetings and heared over by the council.) Assembly speaker may wish to provide logs or transcripts for meetings for use to the general public. Assembly speaker also is in charge of the tally of the vote made by the assembly.
JUDICIAL BRANCH! The judicial seat runs for a six "Earth" month term, and has no limit to how many times one can run for office.
Supreme Court Justice: The supreme court justice should be a person of respect, embodying virtue, and above all a sense of Justice. The supreme court Justice is elected directly by the citizens. The Supreme Court Justice shall give guidance on the virtue of justice, and may consider lower appeals from lower courts. he supreme court justice has the power to authenticate persons to become lesser court judges, but they too must also follow all regulations set to for selecting a supreme court judge, with the exception of citizens voting each and every one in. Assembly may seek appeal to the supreme court justice. The supreme court justice shall be able to certify lawyers, and legal binding through contract; they are subject to approval of the council at their own disgression.
